I’ve just updated my Fixed Income Tracker for April 2023.

Changes this month:

  • Updated latest fixed deposit and savings accounts rates for selected banks and government bond rates (SSB and T-bills).
  • Added Sea Ltd’s Maribank savings account rates – currently by invite only; I wasn’t invited btw 🙁
  • Added SG bond ETFs tickers A35 and MBH for comparison.
  • Added UOB One account for EIR $100k (tiered interest; rate is lower for EIR $75k).

My thoughts:

  • SCB Bonus$aver offers the highest yield on EIR $100k of 4.88% but harder to qualify.
  • UOB One account yield on EIR $100k of 4.50% slightly lower but easier to qualify.
  • MoneyOwl WiseSaver still offering decent yield above 4%.
  • T-bill cut-off yields have bounced back and look attractive vs fixed deposits.
  • Sea Ltd’s Maribank debut with 2.50% yield, lower than 3.48% of GXS bank but on a much higher maximum deposit of $60k vs $5k for GXS bank. Hope they open up to public soon.
